*DBN School Amarvilla Hosts Successful Dogri Nibandh Pratiyogita*

On October 16, 2024, DBN School Amarvilla organized a *Dogri Nibandh Pratiyogita* in collaboration with MIET Dogri Cultural Club, Jammu to promote State Language *Dogri as per NEP and NCF.*

The event was honored by the presence of Special Guest *Major Gen Shiv Kumar Sharma*, he served Indian Army for over 36 years and participated in many operations including 1999 Kargil operations, Sri Lanka operations etc.

For his outstanding service to the nation, President of India honoured him with the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM). He was also honoured with Commendation Cards from Governor of Gujarat, Chief of Army Staff and GOC-in-C Army Training Command.
His inspiring words motivated the students and encouraged them to promote their mother tongue which will help them to connect to their roots.

The competition aimed to promote the rich Dogri language and encourage students to express their thoughts and ideas. Ten talented participants from classes 8th to 10th showcased their exceptional speaking skills, impressing the judges with their creativity and eloquence.
This initiative underscores DBN School Amarvilla's commitment to fostering education, cultural awareness, and linguistic appreciation among its students.
