DBN School, A Temple of Learning
The Dewan family of J & K State started a High School at Eminabad. After partition, Eminabad came under the control of Pakistan. Dewanini Vidyawati Ji constituted an Educational Trust, namely "Shrimati Dewanini V. Badrinath Educational Trust" in the year 1957 in J & K State to take ahead the mission of delivering affordable quality education.
DBN (10+2) Vidya Mandir, a temple of learning was established by the Shrimati Dewanini V. Badrinath Educational Trust (DBN) on 1st of September 1963 at the residence of renowned Dewan family of J& K State situated at Mubarak Mandi Jammu. Due to foresightedness of the Chairman Kunwar Barrister Narendrajit Singh, Smt. Sushiela Ji and the able administration of Secretary Cum Manager Shri Pran Nath Kapoor the institution achieved top position in a very short span of time in the J & K state. In 2013 the DBN Schools celebrated 50 years of excellence.
The DBN Trusts operates three schools, DBN (10+2) Vidya Mandir Amarvilla, DBN (10+2) Vidya Mandir Mubarak Mandi and SNS Vidya Mandir (High School), under the able leadership of the Chairman Shri Virendrajit Singh and his team of selfless Advisors - Shri Lila Karan Sharma, Dr. Rama Kant Dubey & Shri Yashpal Puri. The Trust is also running the Maa Sushiela Vatsalya Mandir for the inmates of Kargil war victims and militancy affected families, they are provided free boarding, lodging and education by the Trust.
